This workshop is for childbirth educators and doulas seeking innovative ways to share information about birth with the families they serve. The purpose of this mini workshop is for participants to gain an understanding of how teaching through play enhances learning. 2 CEUs from International Childbirth Education Association. Betsy Schwartz is a pioneer and a visionary. She established Tenth Month Doula Services in 1994, the first of its kind in South Florida. Her most recent accomplishment is the creation and publicaiton of Down the Canal – The Game ofBirth. Betsy continues to pioneer in Citrus County Florida where she is actively involved in community collaboration to improve birth outcomes. She is a former board member of the Florida Breastfeeding Coalition, and a founding member of the Coalition for Improving Maternity Services. Betsy holds a master’s degree in management of human services and is a certified postpartum doula. She is also a Reiki Master and a yoga enthusiast.
